A Timmins motorist who was taken to hospital with injuries resulting from a single-motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 655 Wednesday morning has been charged with impaired driving.
The crash occurred just north of Timmins.
The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries
Andre Brousseau, 52, of Timmins, has been charged with operation while impaired, operation with a blood/alcohol concentration above the legal limit and careless driving.
Brousseau was released from police custody with a condition that he attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on Oct. 20.
The Ontario Provincial Police reports this was the fourth incident in less than two weeks within the South Porcupine detachment area in which motorists have been charged with impaired driving.
Three of those, including the one involving Brousseau, occurred just this week.
On Tuesday, officers responded to what OPP described as a “suspicious vehicle” on Val Gagne Road in Val Gagne.
