Sudbury letter: City's economic strategy out of date

Thanking volunteers in North Bay
National Volunteer Week is taking place from April 18 to 24. At the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), we know that volunteering builds a community’s resiliency by showing residents how much that community cares about different causes. We would like to thank all of the dedicated volunteers in North Bay and its surrounding areas for your inspiring support of the causes that mean the most to you.

Fifty years later, the five nuclear-armed countries (US, Britain, France, China and Russia) have not done so. Israel, North Korea, India, and Pakistan haven’t signed the NPT.

Sudbury letter: COVID has been a test, mayor says
One year ago (Tuesday), after careful consideration and conversations with the Medical Officer of Health, other members of council and local leaders, I declared a State of Emergency for Greater Sudbury. That declaration acknowledged the severity of the situation we found ourselves in due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was intended to allow for a quicker response to changing circumstances.
